Travel and vacation are so much more than being somewhere
far from home. To travel is to change and challenge your mindset. It is about
talking to strangers at the bus stop. To try new things you wouldn’t do at
home. And it is to step away from the routines and expectations in your
everyday life. This is what creates that feeling – not the place where you are.
This is a blog about how you can feel more homely in the gorgeous mountains and
how you can embrace homestay feeling even if you are not at your own home.
‘Homestay’ is a concept I think about a lot. It can mean
such different things to different people, and it may also mean different to
the same person throughout their lifetime. Some people have the unique ability
to feel at home anywhere that is a blessing. These people should count
themselves very fortunate, for this doesn’t come quite so easily to the rest of
us. But at our homestay, you will feel more fortunate about your living is a
cozy and comfortable home.
At Holiday in Homestay
We are putting flavors to your journey in the beautiful
hills of Shimla in Various ways:
Comfort and familiarity:
In a place that feels like home, you can feel at ease. you
can navigate each day confidently and without worry or stress. You know where
you are going, getting lost is never a concern, and you recognize the places,
the faces, and the emotions that you encounter. you don't know people, and they
know you. You have favorite destinations to live with and comfortability in
self, and your surroundings are always familiar with you.
Easy day-to-day activities:
In a place where you feel at home, your day-to-day
activities are a breeze. You speak the language and can communicate
effectively. You know some simple facts of humanity that make your life feel
effortless such as the local bus schedule, the price of a banana, or where to
get the best coffee, and if I find myself in a tough situation, I can calmly
and easily resolve it. There is nothing I can’t handle when I’m in a place that
feels like ‘home.’
A sense of belonging:
It might be the most challenging feeling to express in a few
words, but if you’ve felt a sense of belonging in your lifetime (and I imagine
you have at least once) you’ll know exactly what I mean. You feel welcome,
appreciated, and a part of something bigger than yourself. Perhaps you have a
community of people around you – people who love you, who look forward to
seeing you, and who play important roles in your life. You don’t feel out of
place. When you’re ‘home,’ your heart just seems to know it.
